The difference between Good and Great (Motivational)
I’m often surprised that people don’t realize what it takes to win, and I love these two videos, one by Will Smith and another by Steve Jobs.

If you own a business and want to be successful in life and business, this is everything.
“I said, you know it’s good, it’s at about 90%, and he said, the great thing about being at 90% is at least you know you’re halfway there.”
I realized this was true ten years ago and embodied it in all things: from building, buying, and selling blogs to creating content unlike anything found online, I was truly crafting.
“The difference between 90% and 100% is lifetimes of difference, and the difference between a good player and a great player is light years.”
“My son was a chronic B student and he would get Bs all the time, and he was like Dad you know I really could get As if I wanted to and I was like, I promise you, you cant”
“You think the difference between a B and an A is the same as the difference between a C and a B? It’s not. It’s NOT.”
“You might have to eat differently, you might have to change friends, you might have to study sleep to get from B’s to A’s”
“The difference between good and great is underestimated by most humans.”
“If you want to be good, you can be talented and be good; you can just wake up and be good. But if you’re good and you wake up and be good, you’re not going to beat me; you’re never going to beat me.”
“If you’re not doing 70-hour weeks on your craft right, and it’s such a hard thing to communicate to people, it’s even more difficult when people are talented when people get a B easy.”
“They think they got it, and it’s like I’m telling you, it’s like it’s not easy, but it is really simple to change your life, it’s so simple“
“People don’t realize that one bad night, fucks up 10, you can’t get drunk and not work out on Saturday, you mess up 10 days. Somebody else is getting past you in that time.”
“The level of sharpness and discipline it takes to get to the heights you dream of is really simple; it’s just not easy.”
I embody this in life and business!
It’s good enough; by that assessment, it’ll never be good enough. If you’re in the ‘it’s good enough’ segment of owners, you’re dominated by owners prioritizing an overall GREAT experience. And while they move up, you move down.
Steve Jobs also discusses the craftsmanship required to turn a good idea into a good product.
“Often sales and marketing people end up running the companies, the product people get driven out of decision-making forums, and the companies forget what it means to make great products.”
“The product sensibility and genius that brought them to success get rotted out by people running these companies who have no conception of a good versus bad product.”
“They have no conception of the craftsmanship required to turn a good idea into a good product. And they really have no feeling in their hearts usually about wanting to really help customers.”
And success isn’t just about having a brilliant idea. It’s about relentless craftsmanship, turning that spark into something extraordinary.
Stay true to the heart of what you create. The world needs people who care deeply about quality and genuinely desire to uplift themselves and others.
Don’t let the noise of those prioritizing profit over purpose drown out your vision in life and business. Surround yourself with those who get it and who understand that greatness lies in the details.
Keep pushing and refining, and never lose that fire to make something remarkable that makes a difference for yourself, your family, and beyond.
